Introduction to DinoX Avatars

What is an Avatar?

An Avatar is a fully animated and unique game representation of the player in DINOX World. This Avatar can be owned by a player or a non-player user within the DinoX ecosystem. The owner gets the benefit of owning a uniquely important part of the DINOX World gameplay and the ability to create a unique gameplay experience inside DINOX World.

The Use of Avatars

Avatars play a very important role in the game modes of DINOX World. In Encounters and Adventure Mode (in development), players will have an advantage over their opponents, thanks to an Avatar’s unique active and passive abilities. Avatars also offer better immersion for a player in the game, where the Avatar can walk around the island and enjoy the surroundings.

Avatar Abilities

Each Avatar will have either Active or Passive Abilities or Both, according to its rarity. Depending on which kind of abilities a player’s Avatar can have, the player can intervene in individual fights or earn better rewards for their further progress. But that’s not all, each Avatar, along with an active and passive ability, can learn a temporary ability that can help players win fights or even double their rewards for a short time.

Active Ability

This is an ability that the player will be able to actively use according to his choice in fights. However, after use, this ability will have a cooldown. For example, an Avatar with an unlocked active ability may be able to increase the power of their dinosaurs in combat for one round, or even revive one of their fallen dinosaurs in combat, etc. After using this ability, players will need to wait a designated amount of time before it’s available for use again.

Passive Ability

This is an ability that the player will not be able to activate according to his choice, but such an ability will be active at all times. For example, an Avatar with an unlocked passive ability may be able to provide the player with increased % XP after each fight or get possibly double the selected reward from Encounters or in Adventure Mode, etc.

Temporary Ability

Temporary abilities can be either passive or active abilities, but their use will be limited by a certain time limit or a limit on how many times a player can use them in combat. These abilities come in the form of cards, accessible by players or non-players, and will also be purchasable in card packs and as separate NFTs in our Marketplace from players or they can be acquired while playing DINOX World.

Players will be able to create various combinations of an Avatar’s active, passive, and temporary abilities in order to defeat their opponents. A temporary ability card will be an important item in the gaming economy of DINOX World, which can ensure players their desired victory.

Avatar Rarities

In DINOX Word, there will be 4,500 unique versions of Avatars created thanks to our procedural algorithms. Avatars will visually fit into the graphic of DINOX World and each Avatar will have a special unique look.

Avatars will not only differ from each other visually but they will be divided into five groups of rarities — COMMON, UNCOMMON, RARE, LEGENDARY, and MYTHICAL, well known to DINOX World players and owners of our NFTs. Each Avatar will also have at least one slot for inserting a temporary ability card.

Adventure Mode & Encounters

In Q3 and Q4, we aim to release gameplay mechanics featuring avatars, namely: Adventure Mode and Extended Encounters. In the Adventure mode, the player will be able to free roam with the avatar around DINOX World Islands, while in Extended Encounters the player will be able to use the avatar to change the outcome of dinosaur battles.

Avatar Customization Options

Avatars will not only differ from each other visually and with unlocked passive and active abilities, but each Avatar will be able to be additionally modified with visuals like hats, glasses, and many other items. Players will be able to earn these items as a reward for defeating enemies in the game or since they are also NFTs, they can be purchased through our Marketplace.
